About the OC TechInnovation™ blog

I’m continually amazed by the amount and variety of technical innovation being conducted in Orange County, CA.  The OC TechInnovation™ blog is my attempt to document only a small part of this activity in the OC (and surroundings) by providing a bit of information regarding U.S. patents recently issued to OC inventors and/or assignees. 

I’ll be picking one, two, or more U.S. patents issued to OC inventors and/or assignees from the weekly list of new issuances put out by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and posting a bit about each, including a representative figure and claim.   When the mood strikes, I’ll use these patents as examples of relevant concepts of patent law and practice.  I will also pass along various items of interest in the area of intellectual property and OC technical innovations.  Going forward, I may broaden the OC TechInnovation™ blog to point out U.S. patent applications of OC inventors and/or assignees which have recently published but have not yet issued as U.S. patents.

Nothing in the OC TechInnovation™ blog should be interpreted as legal advice, solicitation for legal work, or assertions regarding the scope or validity of the listed U.S. patents, by me or by anyone else at Knobbe Martens.  My comments are solely my own, and are solely based on publicly-available information.  In fact, I don’t think that I or anyone else at Knobbe Martens has had anything to do with most of the patents that I’ll be listing.  The OC TechInnovation™ blog just lists patents and technologies that I personally find interesting, and hopefully others will find them interesting as well.
